The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 善意，勇敢，真诚，认真地对待爱，执着地热爱自由，这是一个充满生命力的世界。不是对抗这个世界，而是生活在里面往前走，走自己的节奏。

剪辑和叙事的果断和延宕导致整部片子的时间和空间都比较模糊，更像是动物迁徙一般无知无觉，我觉得是优点。

其实情节一般，但是节奏好，拍出了一种不哀不伤的人生态度。

大量固定镜头，大量空镜，类纪录片模式，精简的对白，偏严肃题材。这几项元素堆积，让观影难度陡然提升，隔了好几次才看完。表面是反资本主义的现实议题，实则空洞无味，如高级版郭敬明一样感叹金钱魔力罢了。
内敛而忧伤。配上宁静忧郁的音乐，想着如果相同的故事也在中国西部上演。。。
