The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 那个让人崩溃的夜。一直持续着。
和国内的抗疫题材是两个维度的电影，中间朱迪在护理院孤身奋战的段落真是揪心。后面的剧情发展就很奇怪，突然拐到了医患感情，最后赤裸裸的代表护理院体系对当局愤怒控诉，想讲的东西有点多，哪方面又都没讲够。
从一开始就让民众习惯可笑的群体免疫，到自作聪明的防疫政策，让人性的黑暗可怖超越病毒的肆虐，更可怖的是，这电影真的只嘲讽了英国？
