The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 三星半，觉得前面多线剪辑有点乱（过快），但是从作品presentation最后一首歌但到结尾很多泪点，再回头看前面的叙事，情绪爆发就显得非常顺理成章…加菲演的很好；好爱LMM，怎么可以那么全能，导演处女秀就这个水平好厉害…
但同时又是“不好看”的，也许舞蹈设计太简单了，连着摄影、剪辑、灯光、布景……原本九十年代的纽约应该更加五光十色的啊！（毕竟LMM是舞台剧出身，这算是先天不足吧）
有些人来这世上就是为留下一些东西的。RENT影响了我十多年，今天看完Jonathan Larson的这部传记音乐片，把RENT又翻出来听了几首歌，Seasons of love一出来眼泪哗哗的流，音乐穿透时空带给人的力量和信念感，直击心脏。感谢这世界上还有艺术家，感谢艺术家留下的这些作品。
