The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 戲劇節奏太好了，內容也很豐富，有溫情有恐懼有隔閡有反思，不同的人可以看到不同的東西。

音乐同善意一样感人，相当鼓舞人心的一部作品。（必须得感谢官摄，对于种种原因而鲜有甚至没有机会去剧院的人们来说，这真的是极好的奉送。）故事源于9·11事件及其影响的其中一面，虽然远离第一恐袭现场，但在这座小镇上，在这部戏剧中，所涉及话题却格外的充裕和细致，除了展现人类之间的互助互爱，还对信任理解、信仰责任等一系列关联概念做了具体的探究与表达。这就非常值得去思考，即便没有这场人为灾难，世界是不是本就该变得更美好，人与人之间应当更为宽容与和谐，人性的真善美不该在带着血泪的惨剧发生后才觉醒。
紧凑的编排让观众游走于焦虑，亢奋和崩溃的状态之间。
有可能不太能欣赏这种一直高频歌唱的歌舞剧，911背景下依然没有感到感动，个人角度。
大事件下的小角落 还是有点意思。对舞台剧这种形式没有太大兴趣。
音乐歌舞都非常精彩。很有力量。有时热血沸腾。有时温暖感人。很抓人情感。
但愿吧。

2021.09.12 眼泪从第一首就开始流。陌生人的善意是这个世间还有美好存在的证明。
就个人而言，这部音乐剧给我的感触不是很深，可能某些剧情会有所触动，里面的音乐也没能让我记忆犹深。
