The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 三段视角补充完同一个故事后，开场的决斗戏到结尾再看一下变得无比沉重揪心，朱迪科莫的表现很不错。一场发生在中世纪末段的审判决斗，据说也是有记载的最后一场决斗，对今天仍有警示意义，第三段庭审戏简直就是连番重锤，那个黑暗时代好像已经过去了，又好像仍如影随形。喜欢老雷拍的中世纪题材，希望还能看到。
“韦斯安德森式霸王别姬”。作为四川人完全无法理性评价的一部电影，充满鬼气，看完手脚发凉。
将第三章直接打上真相是偷懒讨巧的做法，
新戏从来演旧事。
很久没看过这样好的华语电影了。年度最佳。很难得一部很独特性又平衡的影片。内容上很坦率不为审查而避讳，形式上惊艳贴合内容不突兀。
影像变迁史和中国近代史交汇，在私人记忆和戏曲艺术的视域中发生形变，却又始终有对于人、事、物真挚饱满的情感作为连接片中小世界与当下现实的绳索。
4.5 果然看片之前了解的越少越好，expectation太高了。确实是非常有灵魂的，有艺术价值的一部作品
