A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.
Flodders (1986) is available on DVD in Germany in a dubbed German version in Dolby Digital 5.1. under the name:

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
看的时候会想到苏轼，想到颜回，虽然更接近的是近代的有识之士吧。电影整体风格沉静，有文人气质的感觉
存在即意义，人在水中心方寂啊…
有儒学的入世之深，老庄的旷远幽长，更有民间的生命力，也打开了一种历史题材的新思路，太喜欢了，后悔现在才看。

世道那么污浊，不如研究一些通透之物。可能对于个人来说确实是最好的选择，但我实在是忍不住要想，如此这般，那些受尽苦难的人要怎么办呀。不过片中好奇开放的态度还是挺好的。
“昌大啊，活成不断向上飞的鹤虽不错，但即便身上沾满污水泥浆，也选择活的像兹山一样，外表看着黑暗却生机勃勃自由自在，也未曾不是有意义的事啊”
6/10。夜幕下对丁氏兄弟的露天审问之后，影片借明君之口告诫丁若铨要避免与同僚起纷争而坚持忍耐，在这种坚忍精神中邂逅逃避浊世的贫瘠海岛，水墨画般静态的均衡构图诗化了海岛空间，岛民没有排斥‘‘大逆罪人’’反而讨论他的安置和伙食问题，催征的小吏常在执罚中避免过苛、只带走欠税户的小锅以交差，而识字不多、阿谀奉承的掌岛别将也不过是一个苦求升迁的小人物，善良朴实的岛民群像加深了丁若铨为受压迫者鸣冤的理想，可居嫂将父亲比作种子、母亲比作土壤来隐喻‘‘母更劳多’’，这让丁若铨大为赞赏女性的智慧，明净的海岛如慈母般包容流放旅人，为餐桌添餐食的海洋物产使丁若铨从抽象的经史诗文中解放出来，回归日常在劳动中探索真理、实践道德，张大昌则与老师的超俗不同，他怀端救世理想考进官场，却目睹农民自戕抗税的惨剧，渡海逃逸回故乡。
但犹如黑山的海水终究会变成了蓝色。
如果这是认真调研、展现历史阶段的真相，以及抒发以物喻人之情怀，那果然成功落实了我对韩影、孔孟、士大夫生活的一切刻板负面印象。吵吵嚷嚷的朝鲜话、喜怒说来就来的表演型国民人格、啰嗦乏味的文化自信，终于逼着我一段段快进了，以及重要的个人原因——我不吃鱼！
感觉是高票房和获大奖的节奏，希望票房破千万，然后让我们卞约汉得个大奖吧
4.5分，茅店晓灯青欲灭，古老的世界，现代的思想。钓到巨大鱼那一幕我都笑出声了，还有双双恋爱那段。很高兴自己也有这样关系的老师，以及不灭的好奇心，还想看看能变成鸟的海胆。
片子整体不错，但有两点略可吐槽。其一是顺便吹了一波天主教。那时的封建理学固然已经落后，天主教也着实没什么值得推崇的。其二是昌大一点政治智慧都没学到，可能也是因为老师有意无意没教。身为上官想搞一个下属，怎么想都不至于需要直接动手。连这点考验都解决不了，也确实说明他不适合做官。
实在好看到落泪，一望即知，风骨和价值断然不是某种“以出世的态度入世”这种狗屁不通的狗屁组成的论调，也不是什么“以出关的心思入关”这种满腹倒灶酸腐的铜臭生意经，电影的呈现促人思考，故事里，如果{修身、齐家、治国、平天下}这种词语真的起作用，那它们的地位一定和{结网、捕鱼、听海、写志谱}这些词语一样的卑微，所以，这种转换当然也是可以反转过来的，这是认识论的转变，也是传统的现代化，让我仿佛透过影像，再次看到多年前读施公依傍古希腊复兴“理想国”的图景，虽然现在可能还没有非常好的范型和足够扎实的共识，不过却已足够让人动容，年度十佳。

亦师亦友，虽然有些转折比较刻意，仍不失为年度佳品。
好劇本。那騰起的青鳥，那最後一抹純淨的藍，都是心的訴求：我不能改變，我也不願同流合污。我不能按照所學而生活，我就按照自己的性格生活。
从自然来，到自然去；从两班来，到民众去。朝鲜末期，民生凋敝，何去何从，师生对比，兄弟对比。西学东渐还是朱子理学？陷官场泥淖还是慈山污泥？可能唯自然才能作答。
