The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很西部，还不错，就是前半段节奏稍慢，冲突爆发也不如八恶人那么强烈。
色调、悬疑氛围、配乐都好合我意，是时代困住了追求自由的孤勇…
没有什么太大的惊喜，总归也还是不难看。前面三分之二的铺垫还挺不错的，最后的结局不是特别喜欢。
铁幕下的悲情也难逃权利的侵蚀，就这么留于档案的史册吧…
导演不是在讲述一个发生在黑暗时代的同性恋罪案故事，而是将一个同性恋故事用那样的时代来做背景，包装于一个侦探故事中。导演太关注其中同性恋的内涵了，予以太多的强调，让一桩真实事件变得并不真实。
最后的揭秘有点牵强吧，好好的严肃题材有点为狗血而狗血。
还是刺激而可看的。原来都是好多国家有过的抗争。
充满了反思
虽然探案的部分写得一般，但类型片框架下的同性故事还是蛮少见的。两男主都很得劲，男主有一种闷骚的性感，而艾瑞克每次出现都像是黑暗中一闪而逝的流星。
“人不能对一切感到恐惧，尤其是为了自由。”
这个故事告诉我们……工作太认真就会有危险！
看完骑车在路上的时候，恍然大悟：大boss才是深柜啊。
一桩谋杀案背后牵扯出的秘密。“做人不能什么都怕，尤其是害怕自由。”
剧情+犯罪已经够吸引人了，居然还是同性，男二在审讯室看着男主那个眼神简直我见犹怜啊！（本来是当某著名蹴鞠cp代餐看的，结果意外的不错）

镜头色调很喜欢，但是剧情抛开背景，真让人恶心
西部枪战片，讲述了一个你大爷还是你大爷的故事，不幸的是，这次大爷是Mr. 东郭。情节简单，但胜在美景如画，拓荒年代的美国口音几乎听不懂，彼时Sheriff 出身可能都是outlaws ，而后被招安，唯一的takeaway。
带点悬疑性质的爱情片，想看的压迫与控诉的力度通通没达到，本来很有张力的局长一角，却也只化身成汲取权力欲望的工具人。
