前半段看的很感动，后半段实在没拍好。一个teenager都不知道什么是自己，又怎么做自己呢？立意和冲击感都有了，但是逻辑并没拍的很顺畅。好在演员演的都不错，除了没完没了的澳洲口音！
根据真实事件改编，从潦倒拳击手到神父的故事。他并不长的一生，却是转折不断，磨难多多。车祸后的神启，让其开始笃信上帝，并献身此事业。导演过于想强调其前后的反差了，重点放到他此前的生活中，节奏又未把握好，拍得并不有趣。

确实，对于我这种无宗教、无神论者，没办法共情这部片。
All our outer nature's wasting away, but our inner nature is being renewed every day. This life, no matter how long it lasts, is a momentary affliction preparing us for eternal glory. We shouldn't pray for an easy life, but the strength to endure a difficult one. Because the experience of suffering, is the fullest expression of God's love.

宗教传记影片，但个人觉得导演的重点并非宗教宣扬，我看到的是信仰之光。无论是否信教、无论是有神论或无神论，信仰存在于没个人心中，上帝只是斯图信仰的寄托，因为有了信仰，他才得以悔过、解脱和坚强，并把他的路带给有神或无神的“信徒”。我也是无神论者，我不是个宗教小白，但还是觉得此片很带感，感谢导演。

知名反猶分子參演，果然是個天主教福音電影。但是對於一直想要做神職人員的我來說也算有啟示。或者有一天我可以傳福音呢，還是要好好讀經。
