The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 潮汕味很浓，风景很美，插曲好听，意外地看哭了。
看到片中间的时候，就在想千万不要是俗套的烂结局，一点也不现实。不过，也真有点害怕这片子有过于现实，还是会期待一个圆满的结局。
老古板封建传统思想真是挺恶臭的。
有点感人但不多。这个剧情的模板很熟悉，把矛盾架在潮汕文化习俗中很巧妙（当然也确实是源于创作者的真实背景）。而越南电影《再见妈妈》则是把类似套路用在了LGBT的出柜矛盾中。
唯一有点美中不足的
1男主和母亲的对话，母亲正在洗衣服，水盆中的水荡漾，反映了母亲的内心活动。

突然有点喜欢潮汕方言，喜欢普通话对潮汕话的外语交流。还好结局是美好的，愿天下有情人终成眷属。

小成本佳作。虽然表演略显生涩，但剧本完成度好，音乐好听，感情饱满却没有故意煽情。
处处可见尴尬和捉襟见肘，但仍然能感受到那份诚意。
据说整部电影基本上都是素人演员
包场了。开始还担心全程听不懂会不会困，但还是很好笑很温馨很好哭的啊
电影又好笑又感动又不落俗套，完全不用担心听不懂潮汕话，因为情感与故事都是共通的。
有地方浓郁色彩这一点很不错，潮汕在日常有听过有很重性别不平等存在，看到评论区某条热评发现影片还是粉饰得太好。另影片里拿非裔和胖女孩开玩笑真的很冒犯

看完之后整个人身心不适，只能说这是一部教育片，要嫁给潮汕人的姑娘嫁之前看完就知道今后要面对什么，而且还要知道影片还是美化过以后的样子。

烟火气息来源于真实生活，文化冲突，理念冲突，都是闭塞的表现，如何内省与外省相互融合，是进化的过程，虽然网大感十足，但是故事能够看到主创人员走心了
母亲是最佳女主角。手机镜头里的母亲，你在想什么啊，笑。
