The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 整个剧情程设挺棒的，把故事内核就是讲主人公如何习得骑士精神，以及做一个明君的基本素质，融入在了主人公的旅途当中。个人的今年佳作之一。
单论视听，称得上艺术品。故事和风格相比84版大相径庭，对原著的改编也不少，大卫·洛维这种非常A24的艺术片风格，加上晦涩的叙事，对普通观众确实不太友好，3星半。

美术和光影棒极啦，但除此之外也没啥夸得出口的……
今年看過的畫面最美、配樂最美、鏡頭最美的電影， 沒有之一。
虽然情节有点超现实，但是道理是不错的，爱心和同情心超越人类和动物的界限。
需要仔细品味以后才能明白。不过对于大多数人来说，太晦涩难懂了
不过以chapter的形式来叙事感觉有点偷懒，削弱了旅程和故事的连贯性，导致有几段游戏感很强烈，可能也是骑士故事中难以忽略掉巫术这个要素，会有点出戏。

看不懂，大段大段的对话，真的跟读长篇宗教小说的感觉一样，太艰涩了。
本作通过极致的镜头美学对英国古典文学的视觉化呈现，让我时时想起侯孝贤的刺客聂隐娘，美是一样的美，底本也是一样的厚重但又颇有趣味，当然，闷也是一样的闷

画面极美，摄影和艺术指导差不多都到天花板了，但叙事对普通观众实在太不友好。无论对原版的高汶与绿骑士的传说是否熟悉，这部电影看起来都是一样的迷惑和疲惫。台词讲得慢，角色动作慢，明明90分钟就足够讲完的故事被拉长到了130分钟，注意力跟着镜头迷失在美轮美奂的森林里。如此古老的文学梗，不加解释和铺垫就直接搬上银幕，真的不行。表演也奇怪，感觉大家各演各的，和整体特别不搭。尤其是坎妹，她真的不适合古装，而且，好久不见，怎么台词发声都不对劲了？
