The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 随着时间的推移，故事真相也慢慢揭开。
剧本杀式低配版《疯狂的石头》。黑色幽默式的故事，加上回溯式的叙事本应充满反转，精彩绝伦。但摄影单调，剪辑拖沓，拉长的节奏让并不密集的包袱和反转更加松散，加上滥用的慢镜头，让整部影片显得冗长。最终，多线叙事的汇聚也没能产生绝妙的化学反。反而浪费了故事和实力派卡司，显得平庸。
实际上只是巧合的堆砌以及编剧放料多少的问题而已。配乐还不错。
一小时22分的那一段对戏感人肺腑，道尽心酸。天下无不是之父母，父母对子女的担忧与期盼，都为同一般希望：所有人都不把你当普通人，你就做一个，不普通的人。

论演技范伟，张颂文演技一如既往的棒，朱珠也算在线，惊喜是窦骁在戏中的表现。

2.5，观影过程很累，这种基本靠对话推进的故事更应该在视听或动作上想想办法，音乐倒是挺动感的，视觉节奏完全没起来，拍摄手法太匮乏。《惊世狂花》和《浅坟》永远是新手的学习圣经。
