The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 不止于公路片，不是漫无目的地追求自由，而是除了自由已一无所有。
又细腻又克制，孤独且温柔。像看纪录片一样，真喜欢。
借用了一个美国的故事来讲述一种非常普遍的生活选择和方式，每个在路上的人应该都能感受到相似的情感；人们总因为各种原因上路，在快递仓库与自然美景、房子与van之间，不断挣扎又喘息，可能真是上路了，而能更深刻体会到这种感受，有时候，有些情绪无处言说；赵婷还真是挺厉害的，情感把控很到位，平和也可以很有力量。
全片下来最戳中我的，可能是最后那句“献给不得不上路的人” 。不过影片整体来说仍然是抓人的，有种狡黠的自由，非常喜欢整部片子的影调。
偶然摧折或自然地老去
像自己的未来，也会是很多人的未来，迷茫孤独但却自由富足
配乐毁了Frances McDormand的表演，空镜很像国家地理，这部片子真的走入那些游牧者的心了吗？
状态电影......生活方式电影能拍成这样相当不错了......配乐（配器）略俗气.....看到一半，科嫂突然喊Happy New Year~ 相当应景了~
死神无法逼你气息奄奄
除去剪辑配乐和细节处理上缺乏想象力等问题外 还有大部分女导演都会有的一个通病：sentimentally melodramatic
中年无奈版《在路上》 赵婷给在别人印象中狂野粗旷的公路片拍出了独特的细腻温柔 节奏把握很好 科恩嫂的表演又一次没让人失望
你我互相模糊，互相看不清楚，光秃秃的世界犹如荒凉幻境，鬼魅和人性只是一瞬的过往，寂灭早已扎根在我们灵魂最开始的那一刻

拍出了homeless和houseless的不同，非常契合项飙说的「敢于不占有」。但看完我思考最多的，是看望住院病人时送泡面，到底算很亚洲的行为（因为是日清杯面），还是很不亚洲的行为（因为「没营养」）呢……
