The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication.     整体观感略强于《东快》，不过肯定比不上老版，对于波洛人设和其他支线人物迎合时代的变动就算是这个系列的风格先不提了，作为最后高潮的解谜部分也太仓促了，只是匆匆陈述了真相，很多原著中的推理过程被省略了，凶手认罪也太轻易，并没有确凿的实际证据，心理上的铺垫也不充分。此外第二起谋杀案后波洛应该已经想到凶手是谁，也知道布克可能看到凶手，却偏偏要当着西蒙的面审问布克，导致第三起谋杀，这里的改编很不合理。
