The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 回忆起了疫情刚开始经历的那种恐惧，焦虑，紧张，孤独，无助，想逃。片子很纯粹很干净，它几乎再现了普通人会遇到的各种状况，是人性的真实反应。我们拍不了这样的片子，只能拍成主旋律家国情怀感动中国的献礼片。而我们只需要一点点真实的共鸣而已
沉重的疫情题材，对于一个有着批判的英国电影传统来说，故事过于单薄。在国家体系陷入崩塌，自救与他救，明显电影虚构的困境相比于现实是如此微乎其微。
抛开讽刺政府的部分，在疫情背景下讲一个真正关于人的故事依然很难得，别国比咱们拍出了更有人味的抗疫电影
其实我一直很奇怪，为啥女主没有被感染，这是我最不能理解的地方，也导致我一直在出戏。如果这个病毒真的那么严重的话，就女主这种级别的防护，应该也很难幸免吧。

大流行来临时，养老院里无助的老人真是太惨了。女主算是好心人，可凭她个人甚至救不了年轻的阿尔茨海默患者，就是初次见面那一杯茶和那晚上的冒险帮忙，两人的connection建立了，然后女主就想让他避免中招死亡，唉！来自中国的PPE，不错！
