The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 新选组的故事不长不行，群像与自相残杀都是要有剧情积累的，但这片选角不错，尤其是芹泽鸭，有文化的流氓。
有些压抑
怎么讲，虽然很流水账，虽然有些情节对小说的影像化还原也不尽如人意。但看完之后总还是觉得有韵味。不少画面过了好几天还在脑海里回放。音乐拿出来反复细听也绝对是用心之作。池田屋一段改编哈巴涅拉简直神来之笔。佩服佩服。

很喜欢电影里的几个长镜头，让人似乎在欣赏一幅非常唯美的画卷，只是这画卷的内容有些残酷。
老听朋友讲诗性战争电影，今天一看果然很诗性，不由得感慨战争片还能这么拍，像欣赏水墨画般就把电影看完了，挺进师的故事就像水墨画中的文字，自带中国式风骨，让人有二刷的冲动。
整个战斗过程中，他们的每一次抉择每一场交战却都实实在在牵动着我的心。
6分，可惜鬼之副长波澜壮阔的故事拍成了流水账。
生命的至高无上和死亡的突如其来毫不矛盾。
——新选组只有一个人，有勇有谋、有情有义、剑术高超、女人缘好。
黑白彰显残酷，水墨氤氲希望，观影体验一级棒！

个人的刻画挺深刻，黑白早就的战争无情感更击人心。
非常独特的“学院派”，画面很有苏派的那种纪实感，叙事上有杂糅了一些新浪潮的风格。很多空镜和蒙太奇的运用又颇有中古山水禅意在其中，最后的血雨很有反战行为艺术的调调。挺新鲜。
