剧情方面，是非常简单的公路片剧情，对小孩来说也容易看懂，穿插的几首歌曲也十分悦耳，小马们在旅途的路上认识到了真正的友谊，是暑假的动画佳作。另外，剧情中也致敬了剧版的小马宝莉。
