The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 嬉皮士时代的爱歌，背景虽大，仍聚焦于小人物的情感震荡和成长，只是这次处理得幼稚又梦幻，未如《私恋失调》般余韵悠长，色彩、音乐倒是令人观后久久难忘。

易躁又脆弱的青春迷恋，PTA这old-school又隐约带点soggy的私人情调。
WTF？！今年Best Picture提名里最离谱的，说是白男视角的青春爱情小品都抬举它了，看到3/4的时候我已经生理性不适想要呕吐。难以想象这是拍《魅影缝匠》的PTA。
某种意义上的“随心所欲” 在PTA的纬度里只有几个镜头能感受到他的美妙

充分说明了预告片就是XJB剪…电影远超预期，应该算是《夏洛特烦恼》《西虹市首富》《羞羞的铁拳》之后最好的一部吧！适合春节的氛围:)
It’s 2021 and I really don’t need to see a badly told story with boring characters, filled with racism/sexism jokes. I don’t give a fuck about anything that happens in this film. The romance is so cheap. The not-coming-anywhere-coming-of-age story is so cheap. Seriously???
Very easily, the best film of the year.
看得出来导演对一些小细节有仔细抓，但是看下来很多人物不够丰满又有点奇怪…故事也是这样…但是这个纯粹的故事剧本内容其实我还算是喜欢的（奥斯卡原创剧本估计可以拿到吧…）
卡魯Schauburg 電影院，70 毫米弧幕。銀幕上有洛杉磯的 El Portal 電影院，橫幅上的《007你死我活》是1973年上映的，越戰末期，也符合第一次石油危機的年份。讓我震撼的是伊安弗萊明的名字，007原著系列作者——那是個電影能靠小說作者名字賣座的年代。
开头的暧昧情愫不错，很吸引人，但后面拍得越来越没有逻辑，缺乏灵感

喜欢，对这种复古美式调调毫无抵抗力。毕竟就冲着PTA的调度都足够满足，倒车戏一场就够我爽了，谢谢！
片尾彩蛋演员和角色的相似经历让人有种恍然如梦的感觉。

PTA的作品對我一般偏晦澀，此片倒是出乎意料的輕鬆。幾近素人的男女主駕馭得相當不錯，聖費爾南多峽谷70年代的風情畫也是華麗、輕靈，又能有奇妙的代入感。最值得稱道的是内斂著的反文化話題，讓人眼前一亮。

很轻巧的一部作品，两个loafing的年轻人，在70年代的洛杉矶游荡。特别喜欢这个状态描写，很准确；PTA的视听在水准之上，特色的用色、用光，精致的配乐，几场奔跑戏调度都相当好看；见缝插针地融入社会议题探讨：石油危机、随意拘捕、水门事件以及政客（有原型）的性向隐藏；比较有争议的racist的几场戏，我觉得不是PTA在玩梗，可能还是个年代还原吧；一个私人触动是：Gary在报纸上看性相关新闻，紧接着电视界面播报石油危机，这种媒介相接瞬间勾起我对legacy media的怀念…
