The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这片子是薛定谔的片，A故事意图在最后才有所确定。所以，变得非常好看。整个片子细节丰富，编个绳子编出情欲都属于基本操作。
很棒，以为是断背山，结果暗地里一把刀，精彩。
好莱坞二十年一遇的卡司还是电影的小亮点。如果熟悉政治的话，里面的梗是一个连一个，兔主席发来"贺电"桥段差点笑喷。大些政治喜剧实景秀感觉。

氛围挺喜欢的，我爱看那个牛仔时代。恶来得太突然，倒也不意外，好憋屈的主角啊。
死于强控制欲的女人，死于阴差阳错的医学生，死于命运的禁断之手；叙述绵软无力，冲突不讲道理；口是心非地自我折磨，矫造出另一个本身来抵抗这非伦之恋，痛苦为臆构的敌意舔舐不降反增；抱歉实在是看不出来山形里有吠状的犬；f片的结局是死亡（Brokeback mountain/Bohemian Rhapsody）
3.5 一些自以为是的讽刺幽默，搞了半天也没讲出什么新鲜玩意，权当看看这个豪华阵容。前夫真的完全就是胖头鱼本鱼。
很好看！抛开那些对于男性气概或者有毒男性气概的探讨，还是有很多能聊的东西，比如最容易杀死一个人的果然是他的最爱。phill的狂妄和脆弱个人感觉或许都来源于孤独，而本尼演孤独本就是行家，这次发挥也给跪了（西部口音也很有看头哈哈
看的时候即便有主角光环还是替被精神虐待的女人和被一再霸凌冒犯的男孩愤怒。要是老一套说辞，因为性取向的压抑，所以崆峒神龟的粗暴男就有理由伤害别人甚至陌生人的话，一切都能解释和包容的话，那这种老套路就毫无新意了，还好至少这个结局让人觉得还挺有意思。犬之力到底什么力
20220219le。细节很多的电影，但故事并不是开放的，看起来也挺类型化的，一种外表的强大，一种是内心的强大，前者终究是砧板上的鱼肉。音乐和摄影很棒的。
阴郁的男人好可怕。
“Deliver my soul from the sword，my darling from the power of the dog”。看似Peter从Phil的冷眼中拯救了Rose，但实则是一个“俄狄浦斯”少年阉割父权完成了自我的“成人礼”。坎皮恩太擅长在大全景下描摹人物性格了，钢琴课如此，犬之力亦如此。人物刻画、细节展现、音乐编排满分。奥斯卡欠她的应该是时候还给她了。
可以说是没怎么看懂，愿意精心分析这种电影的人真是了不起，女人心，海底针啊。
优选之人的禀性总是会在自然中生长在社会中被消灭在冲突后消失。
这些场景在过去新冠的两年都太熟悉了。脑补了一会儿中国版，比如A妹唱主题曲的场景，跟各卫视跨年晚会主旋律实在太像了。
奇异博士，自以为能看出山之犬形就能看穿一切，却没看到自己在这条时间线上，被放暑假回来的Nightcrawler偷心又反杀的结局。虽然奇异博士疯狂霸凌玛丽珍，但被这么搞死又让人心生怜悯。漂白的Nightcrawler没有心。

皮特的演员年纪略大了点。我受不了这种片，但它是一部像内谁的说的「像鞋里的石子」的好电影。
下一层，则是犬儒主义与消费主义的盛行，是娱乐至上对人类作为整体的异化，这一层里，资本已经完成了它的驯化功能，人以为自己想得开，其实都是被蛊惑的结果。就像你已经开了水龙头，准备去洗澡，这个时候手机响了。你明知道不过就是个八卦推送，但你任凭水开着，也想要看完。
