The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 亲测是一部温暖的动画电影，是大朋友的治愈良药，是小朋友真善美的启蒙。
不过七个故事看到后面是有点审美疲劳了

《糖水铺》《翼娃子》《外婆的铁皮柜》都很喜欢！这种温馨的淡淡的童年的色调！《萤火虫》稍微有点可怕 细思极恐 《小火车》看了个开头就快进了 画风不喜欢也是觉得有点恐惧
一个主题串起那么多优秀的动画创作者和风格各异的短片，成为能够进院线的长篇电影，真是不容易。必须支持！

七个独立的小故事组成的，每一部的画风都很美，但是节奏有一点点慢。结束之后一直在思索，为啥要叫《向着明亮那方》，也许这部片子不会在动画市场掀起很大波澜，而且每个小故事都很简短，无法与其他大制作比拟。但正是有这样一群群热爱动画的人们在努力，才会不断有新鲜有趣的动画被搬上荧幕，感动更多人。这个名字也是给从业者的鼓舞吧，是希望。
