The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 丹麦电影连色调都是冷的。多角度叙事的群像系，但是感觉后三分之一不如前面。
《小丑回魂》的气球是红色，《黑色电话》的气球就改成了黑色，虽然故事的气质与《小丑回魂》有相似之处，但是本片故事结构过于平铺直述，没有反转，没有叙事诡计，人物塑造也是轻描淡写。
战争无关正义与非正义，平民都躲不开，是无辜的牺牲品。
无论出于什么目的 无论正义与否 战争永远是错误的 只要看看无辜卷入战争中的人们 就能明白这一点

看的好难过，战争中这种惨事儿只能说更多吧…有时候宗教信仰，也是给人个安慰…
根据二战时期迦太基行动改编。一开场就抓住了吸引力，但是整体篇幅太短。如果可以把前因后果拍得更详细就好了（看完之后就去查了一下这段历史）。摄影和孩子们的演技都非常不错。Teresa和Frederik的角色应该是虚构的…总结就是 英国皇家空军真的不靠谱❌🆘
7分，镜头语言非常赞，一开始男孩骑自行车遭遇的飞来横祸和最后那段妈妈一路狂奔回家，闻讯赶来的路人逐一消失在背景里，最后看到女儿在家喝粥那一幕令人动容；英国空军误炸修道院学校，这大概是战争最大的不幸了
导演有点故作玄虚，开头还假模假样整的和文艺片一样忽悠影评人，正片感觉撑不起来100分钟的长度
挺喜欢的，甚至觉得有点儿治愈，当兄妹两人相拥的时候，同样也是根据小说改编，这何尝不是另一个版本的可爱的骨头呢，或者是我们所期望的可爱的骨头的延续，内容上刻意忽略了凶手的行为和视角，他做了什么会做什么怎么虐杀的变得不再重要，因为他和其他同类犯罪者无异，但是这个孩子是与众不同的，所有的孩子才是重点，其中所包含的所谓的灵异内容只是个噱头，丰富内容的元素，实质的故事就是一个小孩拼尽全力自救的故事，励志加治愈了，另外，心疼阿美莉卡的小孩，童年也太惨了，抵抗校园暴力忍受家庭暴力还得防着连环杀手，一个孩子能健康正常的成长起来也太难了吧，
老少通吃，逮住一个电话通灵的idea就死不撒手，恐怖片硬上价值是真的没品。
最后那段伊娃妈妈的长镜头奔跑，演技不错，那种心情
还能不能出来点好看的恐怖片了！恐怖片迷好饥渴啊！！！
小男孩演得不错，最后一幕随着那个母亲的狂奔我也是止不住老泪纵横了。。。
结尾母亲失去女儿，茫然地看着父亲懊悔痛哭，然后不顾一切地跑回家里，开门看到女儿仍然在喝粥……多想回到每个平凡的昨天。
是枝裕和很大牌。裴斗娜及两个年轻美女在剧中竟然一直素颜、几天不换衣服，在以前、在别处，美女们大概是要掀桌的。
在戰爭殺戮面前，高舉正義旗號多行不義之事，一如看一場恐怖LIVE🇺🇦🏥💥，普通民眾永遠都是棋子般的受害者。多條敘事線索串起的「誤炸」故事，不過是換作了「新鬼煩冤舊鬼哭，天陰雨濕聲啾啾」的黑白名字而已，卻把當中活生生的肉身步步推向萬劫不復。如此無力、無助、無望，生離死別或許不只是別人，更要憐取眼前人，止戰！！！
其实不怪是枝裕和，日本社会治安稳定，鲜有贩卖人口案例。但在外国人的视野下，面对堕胎、弃养、贩卖人口这类严重社会议题，是枝的温情就会显得过于幼稚。另外，是枝其实也蛮需要去类型片创作的框架里汲取一些养分。一直以来他的剧作都依靠单场戏的细节描写不断叠加而渐次打动观众，影片的发展依靠弥漫在故事中的所谓“氛围”而非逻辑，到了这部戏就和《第三度嫌疑人》一样，有些行不通。尤其结尾的处理相当不自在。总之，这部电影对于是枝裕和以及宋康昊而言都属于中规中矩的作品，后者拿了个戛纳影帝还挺...意外的
