The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这个星球值得被毁灭；爱看新闻（美国）的一定看懂并喜欢这部与现实对应的搞笑但远不止娱乐的电影；巴什即使高科技公司、手机、也是财团、大数据，彗星是资源、疫情；讽刺了民众的娱乐至死、愚昧、跟风。美政府的傀儡、漠视民众、不尊重科学。女总统和男儿子对应川普和他女儿那个谁。杀死总统那动物发音像特朗普；演唱会那里出戏，应该是说明很多年轻民众你可能只能通过这种方式给他们传递消息。
omg我一开始居然没认出来凯特布兰切特。这个本子适合拍snl，不适合拍成电影，全程讽刺最后没有收尾就很悬浮，没有满足电影观众的观影习惯和预期。

不论是伦太郎坚守自己身为剑士的信念，还是贤人的爱情，托马为了小陆隐瞒自己火之剑士的身份都能让人体会到深情，而不同以往热血漫，靠空吼来阐释自己所认为的真理，无疑这是近几年来最好的外传，也相信剑士们终将演奏出自己的深爱的四重奏
客观3.5，感情分4.5星。虽然看上去是一场胡闹，实际上是严肃讽刺喜剧兼悲剧的底子。宇宙不过是一场真人秀，世界末日也不过是又一场社交网络上的狂欢。各人凭各人的初心做出自己觉得最合理的选择，没有任何问题。要抬头，要仰望星空，但是，富人的天空永远比你的更蓝也更广阔。挨个嘲笑，没有高低贵贱之分。
期待的是各位巨星大飙戏，但每个人都挺片面的，完全无考验。尽管如此，我还是喜欢这个片，荒诞自嘲未必无厘头，网络世界的各执一词、各自为伍、排兵布阵和资本指向…有一个贯穿始终的点，用免费零食想你收费的“玩弄权利”，是的，大部分时候你所无法理解的大可不必或怎么会这样的反向操作，都是权力在手的游戏而已。甜茶若能早点出场就好了，另外，考虑流浪地球吗？zg可以拯救世界奥～
缺点是有的，但我看有些短评写的很全面中肯所以就不多说了。都给我来看！！！
很多人不喜欢的原因，未必是它裹着喜剧的皮儿，骨子里是一出彻头彻尾的大闹剧大悲剧，而是在这出剧里看见了自己。以及，我感受到了编导演那种叶已气急败坏了的悲怆和绝望
从故事上来说挺喜欢的，ed也很好听🥺但是还是会觉得托马老师ooc！更像个独立故事……

这部作品虽然说没有多少打戏，但是情感到很到位，所有人都是为了爱而驱使行动，只是各自的"爱"不一样而已，最后就像片尾一样点题，不是深罪的三重奏，是深爱的四重奏（个人理解）
剧情相当扯犊子，立意没什么新意。老生常谈。
所谓爱的意思就是自己不需要损失任何利益。为什么不换个地方重建镇子让巨怪得到自由？
