剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     作为处女作水平很不错。Jonathan Larson这形象不怎么可爱，周围的人要不停地迁就他的任性孩子气。悲剧色彩的一生值得同情，但是词曲都很一般，全片最好听的旋律是生日歌。音乐剧气氛不错，但每首歌的编排高潮都上不去，感觉作曲和编曲对如何表达情绪的起伏无能为力，只能堆砌音符和声部。电影的视听也是类似的吃不上劲的感觉。听听Andrew Lloyd Webber的音乐剧吧。同样，故事里包含纽约同性恋群体对抗艾滋病的情节，这个不怪Larson，实在是因为《天使在美国》太出色了，巧合的是Lin-Manuel Miranda选Andrew Garfield出演是在看过他出演《天使在美国》之后。

    纪念今年疫情以来第一次的电影院观影，第一次看唐顿庄园，看到了一些留学时熟悉的old fashion的英国人，里面每个角色都很美好，一点本土英剧的影子都看不到，本土剧对于我来说是eastenders和cornation street的残酷和狗血，但残酷里又有每日的生活，live like British!
