通过服装的材质反射的光泽给黑白片加上了柔软度和舒适感。看完花絮才知道这个片子特效这么多，400多个特效镜头也算大制作。学院画面和黑白确实让人很集中在奥斯卡影帝们的表演上。

众所周知，科恩是黑泽明粉丝，黑泽明是莎翁粉丝。所以这部电影是不是透过的布层有点多了，反而费劲。

科恩的莎翁梦，每一幕都比冰血暴还冷，几百上千年，科技一直在发展，人类的欲望却始终原地踏步，我们都是麦克白，没有魔法保护的麦克白。
属于颁奖季特供了，有点<第七封印>的影子，不过也就看表演、视听和导演风格，故事真的没什么意思了。
建筑设计很有意思，新古典主义美学在光影中被推向极致。行善只需要跟随内心的声音即可，而作恶却需要很强大。
像是在看舞台剧一样。莎翁可以拍，但没什么必要。个人不太喜欢丹泽尔·华盛顿扮演的麦克白，感觉就是把《籓篱》的表演模式照搬了过来。
在我看来对于这个时代而言完全是无意义的作品，一桩黑白的，浮夸的舞台剧影像化，没有任何对原著内核的再升华或剖析，复古的影像风格下也没有任何贴合于主题或者情节的试听创新。如果只是将一个被不断演绎且家喻户晓的故事，以一种最怀旧和最富仪式感的形式临摹下来，是没有任何先进意义的。很不幸，21年全线垮塌的不只是类型片，几乎也没有看到任何艺术电影有比较优秀的呈现，作者性导演在危机之下放弃自我表达和影像创新，比什么都令人失望。没了弟弟的科恩兄弟和没了妹妹的沃卓斯基姐妹一样，让他们近年已经愈发平庸的作品彻底沦落到谷底。
{★★★} 因为我不懂莎士比亚，所以这部电影对我而言是一则经典的Intellectual vs. Visceral范本：两种审美价值在窄小逼仄的画幅内冲撞博弈，一边是字字珠玑的海量文本、另一边是表现主义的张牙舞爪。二维抽象的舞台剧风格确实为观众转移了一些被繁冗的台词捆绑的注意力，但到头来仍没做到尽兴。只是别因为我的话就不去看它，今年的冲奥份额未必都有它的胆识、知识和古典血统。
形式的盛宴，科恩运用表现主义的方式，讲述麦克白这段耳熟能详的故事。这种极度外化的影像，在展现人物内在状态的同时，也非常符合舞台式的叙事呈现。其实对于西方导演来翻拍这种经典戏剧，在剧作上无法创新，值得从形式切入。导演选用的美学形式，将文本之下所讲述关于人类欲望的主题最大程度的呈现。但介于观众早已得知的内容对戏剧性的削弱，惊悚就只得过程而非结果。纵使演员与导演，以及影片的美学完美结合，融为一体，足够精美，但确实也缺乏趣味，不够好看。
颇具野心但效果不佳的改编。女巫的表演最惊艳。

看的是105分钟足本。黑人演员好多呀，这回政治正确了。在黑白片里一点都不显肤色。
表现主义风格，戏剧化台词，再次对人的欲望与宿命发出诘问。但几何感强烈的极简空间（布景），浓密的雾气、黑白的反差（光线），角度的选择（调度），都只是视觉的迷恋，缺少意义的配合。
这摄影！绝了！今年摄影天花板吧！台词听着太费劲，但它美啊！
