The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 有些个人主义色彩，但欠缺时间感的史诗改编片。非叙境元素的运用（提示性的字幕）也把想表达的人物内在成长和经典故事本身的“传奇”属性区分开来，整体的观感挺割裂的，但表层的奇幻历程和内里主人公心灵的成长之间莫名有一种难以言说的张力

这是一部教育儿童做个有个性、充满爱心的人的影片。
实在是有点故弄玄虚，意象堆叠过剩。也算看了一种新风格，但不是我喜欢的。我还是坚持电影体裁，讲好故事是最重要的内核。anyway全篇说教角度学到的是：直面当下的挑战，不然未来也是回旋镖，且会持续阵痛。
这故事又有好多背景功课，不做的话观感会锐减，这又算是某种小圈子的曲高和寡了。

前半部昏暗到差点把眼睛看瞎，后半部直接看得我满头问号。非要让一个印度裔演员来演一个凯尔特人，我勉强忍了。但这故事和节奏真的没法忍，空洞得可怕。只有摄影是好看的。

剧情的确较低龄化，阖家观赏的作品。我也单纯只是来看这一只狗，这只狗的确很可爱！！故事就是简单明了，不过为了小狗是可以的。6.4/10
