拍出了巴黎浮世绘般的的光鲜和繁华，但是在叙事上却显得过于繁杂，以至于让整个故事显得过于冗长，好在精炼的旁白多少弥补了这种观感，当然这并不是编剧的功劳，因为旁白是巴尔扎克的手笔

不愧是巴尔扎克超越时代的作品，电影的改编使其对新闻界的批评更为集中化。在这个网红遍地，附庸风雅，趋炎附势，理想幻灭的世界里，如今依旧有现实意义。
