The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 声光电特效还是相当不错的，虽然故事线有些过于单薄，不过这是对于前几部经典致敬也足以让影迷满意了吧，灵魂不死！

本以为会是部充满惊喜的怪奇物语，结果也就是部小鬼当家罢了，连像样的特效场面都没有，更别说喜剧元素，甚至不如保罗·费格那部女版
不可思议的烂….前面的文戏看得人昏昏欲睡，后面的武戏又了无新意；还非要搬出老卡司来拉情怀，简直是吃力不讨好。
最后阶段才开始三人组救场致敬，两个小时的电影，拍出了正片只有70分钟的感觉，全靠情怀撑着，致敬逝世的演员哈罗德·雷米斯，再加上这是目前伊万·雷特曼作为制片人的遗作，儿子作为导演拍摄的作品。
