The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 片尾男孩眼神淡淡地见证着，在平静地注视中那是记忆回到童年，莫名的眷恋。
结合普京今天的檄文，这个片子就是控诉乌克兰在东乌的暴行。两个阿富汗老兵的不同际遇反映了东乌人民的困惑和彷徨，结尾深藏功与名的小绿人宣传目的不要太明显。

上次看转制动画还是《半梦半醒的人生》，看完后又专门搜了登陆月球纪录片来看，正如影片中所说，当时现实中许多复杂的事情，对观众来说就像电视剧一样，人的记忆是很奇怪的，会认为自己亲眼看过，而至今仍有人怀疑月球漫步的真实性。
拍得还算不错，絮絮叨叨地带观众走入导演自己的少年时代。要说共鸣是难，却很容易代入自己的年少时光，陷入一些怀念之中。

此片當然偏向烏境俄羅斯人，對烏克蘭的極端份子對國內俄羅斯人實行種族滅絕的暴行刻畫頗深入。
