剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     前半段寫階級差異下的outsiders互相扶持互相救贖的愛情故事相當感人，後半段開始逐漸平庸流水帳。有嘗試提及在維多利亞時期的女性地位問題但只是蜻蜓點水，其他如原生家庭問題也如是（有幾個片段出戲到《小婦人》），甚至片尾對於「電力」的解釋以帶出所謂主題也是如此地生硬。畫面不錯，巧妙地利用4:3比例和油畫感的攝影讓觀眾進入電影的時空裡，夫妻二人在湖前的鏡頭美到叫人難忘。
