改編的最出色的一點，是黃政民扮演其本人，改編的最糟糕的一點，是綁匪團隊成了單純的惡人，從惡的動機到惡的行為都扁平且表面，在這一點前，大幅刪減智力博弈改以大段動作戲、黃政民化身虎膽英雄的改動，都顯得糟糕得沒那麼糟糕了。這樣的改編不是不可以，只是消解了原作中最有意思的部分之後，沒有更獨特的內容替代，從警匪片變成了動作片，還和絕大多數動作片一樣無趣。
