The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 用科幻喜剧讽刺了现状，互联网时代人类的推荐广告，单纯的欲望经济，展现了精神世界的魅力
无法言说，像暗恋又不像是，明明离接吻就差那么一点点，偏又放弃。这已经是很明显的喜欢了。两人之间的情愫很美很好，可是故事太散了，不好看。
非常单纯的“黑镜式”人工智能叛变故事，没怎么触及社会背景，也没太纠结人性阴暗，用热内一贯的荒诞恶趣味搭配儿童科幻级别的CG特效，乱炖出来这么个东西……拖沓是真拖沓，色调与运镜看着也是真舒服。
不是很好笑，但是一些科幻设定和想法还是蛮新颖的。
