The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up.     鉴于当下好莱坞编剧导演集体大脑崩坏的现状，拍这种剧情简单舒缓温馨的影片是个不错的选择，不会过多暴露复杂剧本压力下编剧导演的无能，也不用顾忌太多电影外的因素，全片基本就一个人类演员，不用担心被指责没有女金刚没有黑人涉嫌骑士，能让人三心二意的把两个小时的电影看下去还有点儿小感动，不反智不喂屎，这已经知足了。
