The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 女主最后一段在警车里冲着那些警察说的话，是对现今英国政府的痛斥。
这个视角讲疫情挺不错的，拍的也不错，只是因为讲的是更英国的故事没能那么有耐心看。最后也是创作者抨击英国体制的落点，但这个片的视角确实值得借鉴。
没有家国大义，没有感动中国式的煽情，只有孤立无援下的绝望和直接单纯的善良，演员们演技都太好了。有时候都忘了疫情最开始的无助，不知不觉已经戴着口罩过了两个夏天了。

态度真诚，直接问出问题，不是随大流和歌功颂德的电影，片尾三组数据展示让人深受冲击。
