The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 简单，童年受众，刻板剧本，狗狗还是可爱的，仅此而已，无心观影也不会去看第二遍的片子。

非常低幼非常简单的故事，但却比那种王子公主的童话故事更好，异类也能拥有爱，也有他存在的意义，孩子们都应该看看这样的故事

节奏稍显拖沓以至于结局全部用插画的形式讲述，比起帕丁顿熊，整个故事缺乏质感与细节，除了草坪追人就是救过一个邻居，到底为什么可以带来整个社区尤其是房东的变化这部分缺少过渡。用这样长的时间讲述的故事内容还是有点少了，整体而言还是一个老派的儿童故事。
简单，低幼，又温暖。一个社区，甚至一个城市都因此而美好。
