The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 太变态了，甚至比《钛》变态多了，但是我很喜欢。
开头的血雨给人极大的期待，随后的自然主义视觉奇观也确实展现了加兰的功力。但叙事层面的孱弱让人难以接受。一遍遍的闪回没有丝毫层次可言，所传达的信息重复不说，想强调女主的心理恐惧也没有递进，仿佛在给小朋友讲故事，生怕观众听不懂，或许也是因为实在没有东西可讲，只想在营造视觉的同时加点叙事。男权社会下无所不在的女性压迫虽然是个很好的主题，但如此直白的隐喻实在简单无脑（罗里·金尼尔一人饰多角的演技还是值得称赞的）。结尾时的男人单性繁殖更是败笔，初看时确实有看《钛》《未来罪行》般身体恐怖的感受，但重复的脱胎过程让这种恐怖感逐渐降低，直到视觉产生疲劳，最后变成无趣。
我觉得Garland学Ari Aster学岔了，前半段有太多inconsistent的意象和空镜头。还好摄影优秀没被不明所以的剪辑给埋没。喜欢展现出来现代关系中的manipulation比暴力更让人反胃，相较而言某些只象征slut shaming的分身反而显得弱了。
导演有颗女人玻璃心，片子无非想揭示一点：男人都是一个屌样，而且没有一个是好东西
太言之无物了，以这样的概念拍成长片，片子本身展现的不就是男导演的自大么。强调男人摧毁女人的能力，也是一种对男人的赋权。猎奇角度而言，也并无想象中那么有创意，最后的套娃场景，用女性独有的器官和创生能力来隐喻（或许是）男人的代代相传是我不太能接受的。女主和朋友的关系表现得不错，对女主的聚焦也尚可，别的方面都不太喜欢。

女性成长过程中会遇到的男性 这片子里几乎都涵盖到了 色狼 暴露癖 控制欲强 自以为是 真是普通男性大赏的程度

非常漂亮的摄影啊，一种沁人心脾的清爽！同时惊悚桥段又非常给力！感觉有了疯狂的设计却没有贯彻到底，无疾而终了！可惜！
Dear Garland: Try to lay some decent plots as groundwork then upon that elaborate on visuals, not the other way round; for instance, at any rate there were some plots, not that they were nearly as stunning as the looks by any means, for the visuals to be based upon in your Annihilation, were there not? Please stick to that formula, comprende?

森林铁路段落拍的挺引人入胜，剩下的桥段就几乎都是为了概念落实成单一明确指向而进行的疯狂忙碌了。
一个不快乐的男人，就是一只专吸女人血的吸血鬼。
